Creating art is a form of worship for me. It is communicating with Holy Spirit about the piece and being inspired by the heart of God. Intentionally engaging with the Lord while creating is a fun journey and one of my favorite ways to create. When I create like this I find that I am not bound by style, medium or time limits. I have created pieces for people in new styles, with new mediums that take anywhere from one minute to multiple years to complete. The process varies like the pieces and the people they are created for. Sometimes I see the finished image before beginning and get to discover the process of creating it. Other times I get one color, one line or one word to start with and each step is taken asking Holy Spirit questions to discover the path to the finished image. That is what makes creating with Holy fun for me. It is always fun, engaging and continually challenges me to expand the bounds of my creativity. By sharing with you this part of my creative journey my prayer is that you will be inspired and will encounter a new facet of the Creator.

I believe that all of life should have an element of whimsy to it and here you will find a few ways that I have added that touch of whimsy to my life. I love sewing aprons with repurposed, vintage and just funky elements. Creating and decorating things with pom-poms fills my heart with joy. Finding things at thrift shops and yard sales to repaint or repurpose is exciting and one of my absolute favorite things to do! If I can surround myself with fun colorful elements that make me happy, then I find inspiration abounds every day.
